As of the 8th June 2015 the paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence will not be valid and will no longer be issued by the DVLA. If you already hold a paper counterpart, after the 8th June 2015 it will no longer have any legal status.

This means that from the 8th June 2015 neither the photocard nor the paper licence will provide an accurate account of any driving endorsements you may have. Instead the information will be held on DVLAs driver record, and can be viewed online, (www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence) by phone (there is currently a £ 6 charge for this system) or post.
