Rates
All rates include insurance but are exclusive of CDW, VAT and fuel. Rates are subject to change without notification.
1 day hires are limited to 300 miles & 15p per mile/km thereafter. Late returns will be charged at 20% per hr on the
daily tariff (max 4 hours) then a full days rate will be charged (discretionary).
Drivers
Must be aged between 21 and 75 and have held a full licence for 2 years. For minibuses, drivers must be between 25 and 75 and have held a full UK licence for at least 2 years. Vincent Van Hire Ltd will need to see the driving license of hirers/drivers and reserve the right to refuse any driver. Overseas visitors are accepted at the discretion of the company.
Own Insurance (companies only)
Customers may arrange their own fully comprehensive insurance cover but Vincent Van Hire Ltd will need to see a certificate to this effect.
Insurance
The rates include comprehensive insurance cover, but the hirer/driver is liable for an excess for the first £1500 of any loss or damage to the vehicle. This ability can be reduced by accepting the collision damage waiver, details as follows:

The excess waiver does not cover loss or damage to the following: glass, light lenses, mirrors, tyres, aerials, overhead damage and any damage due to roof rack fitting or roof racks.
Overhead Damage
The hirer is responsible for all damage caused by striking overhead objects.
Availability
Where possible, we supply the vehicle ordered but occasions may arise outside of our control where a similar or larger vehicle may be supplied.
Deposits
A deposit will be required to cover the cost of the hire, VAT and fuel before the vehicle is released. We will accept all major credit cards and cheques accompanied with a valid cheque guarantee card.
Extension of Hire
When the hirer wishes to extend the hire period, he must inform the Rental Office immediately to ensure insurance cover is effected
Operators Licence
An operators licence is required by all commercial users of vehicles over 3.5 tons G.V.W. This is not required by persons moving personal effects.
Ireland or Continential Hire
All vehicles can be hired for continental or Irish travel. Hire charges will be subject to a surcharge plus Green Card Insurance and relevant documents for travel.
Loading
The hirer is responsible for correctly loading and unloading the vehicle and ensuring that the G.V.W. is not exceeded.
Accident or Breakdown
There is a free breakdown and recovery service on vehicles up to 3.5 ton during the rental period. In the unlikely event of this happening, please contact RAC/AA Motoring Service or Vincent Van Hire Ltd.A vehicle using the RAC/AA recovery service must be recovered to the depot from which it came. For vehicles of 7.5 ton G.V.W. and above, contact Vincent Van Hire Ltd or Iveco Aidline.
